RESOLVED: MyNOVA MFA Issue: SMS Is Down - Mon, 2/28, 12pm

The VCCS has restored the SMS MFA service. Users who utilize the SMS MFA should be able to receive authorization codes via text messages again.

The VCCS has confirmed that the SMS MFA system is down. Users are not receiving the SMS MFA text message with the authorization code. The VCCS is investigating the issue but did not give an ETA on a resolution.
Everyone is required to use at least one of the MFA options in order to access MyNOVA.
We encourage users who have registered for SMS MFA is to setup a 2nd MFA option (e.g. Email-Based One Time Password, Push Authentication, or Time-Based One Time Password). You can view the options and instructions using the “Setup MFA” button located at the bottom of the MyNOVA login screen (
