Assistance Needed -- Verification of NVCC Equipment Standards

Hello,
Over the past few months, IT staff have been updating NVCC-issued equipment with the latest technologies for Microsoft Office, Windows operating systems, and anti-virus protection. Due to the remote status of the majority of NVCC employees, your assistance is required to verify that your NVCC-issued equipment is up-to-date with current College standards. If your computer does not meet the current standards, you may be asked to coordinate a drop-off date with Campus IT to have your system reimaged. It is critical that NVCC-issued equipment meet the standards outlined below to ensure the security of the College infrastructure and data.  
 
Please review the attached documentation to verify the following components on your equipment:
 
  1. Windows 10 Version Check  ----    You should be running any of the following versions of Windows 10 Enterprise.  
Windows 10 Enterprise version
Windows 10, version 1909 
Windows 10, version 1809
Windows 10, version 1803
 
                ACTION --- If you are NOT running version 1803, 1809, or 1909, please contact the IT Help Desk so a ticket can be generated for your assigned Campus IT Group.
 
  1. Microsoft Office Version Check   --- You should be running Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus or Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019.

                ACTION --- If you are NOT running Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus or Microsoft Office Profession Plus 2019, please contact the IT Help Desk so a ticket can be generated for your assigned Campus IT Group.
 
  1. Antivirus Security Application Check –   Symantec Antivirus has been retired by the VCCS in favor of Microsoft EndPoint Protection (Defender).  
 
      
ACTION -- If you see the Symantec gold icon shield in your Windows System Tray, your system is unprotected and needs IMMEDIATE attention.   Please contact the IT Help Desk immediately so a ticket can be generated for your assigned Campus IT Group.
