UPDATE: VCCS Performance Issue: Intermittent Access to Library Services - Wed, 11/15, 3:30p

VCCS reports that resolution investigation regarding this issue is ongoing.  There is a dedicated VCCS ITS Engineer working to resolve it. 
 
Currently, a major rewrite of some code is in development to assist in preventing library access issues long-term.
 
In the meantime, we advise Users to continue resolution attempts via the previously published work-arounds.
 
As the VCCS works to resolve this issue, here are some work-arounds that may be helpful if you experience difficulty accessing digital library databases:
 
  • If you are on-campus and see the MyVCCS login prompt followed by an error screen, maintain the same browser session, hit refresh, and the connection should work
  • If you are off-campus, try the following direct links to two of the most commonly used databases:

Yesterday, VCCS reported that the ‘Library Services’ application within MyNOVA \ MyVCCS was experiencing some intermittent access issues when requesting online library resources. 
 
Today, VCCS engineers continue to work with the service provider, Primo, to resolve any outstanding issues.
 
As the VCCS works to resolve this issue, here are some work-arounds that may be helpful if you experience difficulty accessing digital library databases:
 
  • If you are on-campus and see the MyVCCS login prompt followed by an error screen, maintain the same browser session, hit refresh, and the connection should work
