(ImageNow) How to Set Up Test and Production Profile

The following instructions describe how to set up your testing and production connection profile.
 
1. In the Perceptive Content window, click the Connection Profiles tab. Under the Select a profile pane, click Edit connection profiles
 
 
2. The Connection Profiles pop up window opens. Click on Create
 
 
3. The New Connection Profile pop up window opens. Complete the requirement information, as directed below: 
 
Create Production Connection Profile
 
 
Name: Default Profile
Server ID: inprod.vccs.edu
Server Type: Production
Port Number: 6000
User Name : Remember last successful user name
 
 
Then, click OK.
 
 
Create Testing Connection Profile
 
 
B. Create Testing Connection Profile:
 
Name: Testing
Server ID: intest.vccs.edu
Server Type: Test
Port Number: 6000
User Name : Remember last successful user name
 
 
Then, click OK.
 
 
4. The Connection Profiles pop up window opens again. Under Profiles, select one of the two connection profiles you want to use (Default Profile or Testing). The Default Preferences section should automatically be set as Remember last successful connection attempt. If not, select that option. When done, click OK.  
 
 
5. The Perceptive Content window opens again. The connection will display as “Default Profile.” Enter your MyNOVA username and password to log into the system.
 
 
6. If you want to switch to the Testing Connection Profile, remember to disconnect from the Production Connection Profile.
 
 
7. In the Perceptive Content window, click on Connection Profiles and select Testing in the left pane. The connection will show as “Testing.” Then enter your MyNOVA username and password to log into the system.
 
 
  Note: Remember to switch back to Default Profile when you need to logon the Production Connection Profile. 
 
8. When you no longer need the Testing Profile, DELETE it from the Connection Profiles. 
A. In the Perceptive Content window, click on Connection Profiles and select Edit connection profiles in the Select a profile pane.
 
 
B. The Connection Profiles pop up window opens. Select Testing and click Delete. When the confirmation pop up appears, click Yes to confirm the action. Then, click OK.  
 
 
C. The Testing Profile will disappear from the Connection Profiles window. Click OK to finish.
