These instructions will assist you with logging into the student NVCC FTP server.
Search for your student web folder by clicking on the NVSTU Account Search link and enter your myNOVA user name and password.
The search will return your NVSTU account if one exists for you. Otherwise, the dashboard automatically requests a web folder for you and displays a ticket number for your request.
If you have a NVSTU account, you will have access to a web folder with the same name as your account. The default NVSTU password is your birthdate (mmddyyyy). For example, if you were born on January 15, 1995, your NVSTU account password is 01151995.
A user without an NVSTU account will authenticate to the new web folder with the MyNova / Directory account once the folder is created.
All Student websites are located on the student web server and use the standard address:
http://www.student.nvcc.edu/home/[Account Name]
FTP Host:
www.student.nvcc.edu
Help Document - FTP Settings:
If you still can't connect after checking your FTP settings, change your connection type to plain FTP using PORT 21.
The IT Help Desk can assist with NVSTU account password resets if needed.
